The micro-blogging site Twitter has come under attack this afternoon, taking it down for more than an hour.
On the site's corporate blog, Twitter co-founder Biz Stone said: "On this otherwise happy Thursday morning, Twitter is the target of a denial of service attack. Attacks such as this are malicious efforts orchestrated to disrupt and make unavailable services such as online banks, credit card payment gateways, and in this case, Twitter for intended customers or users.
"We are defending against this attack now and will continue to update our status blog as we continue to defend and later investigate."

Interesting timing for twitter to go down. After the administration made their attacks on the health care protesters, yesterday. Almost makes one think they are trying to stop communications.

I keep getting strange messages on twitter, like some one is following you, then you click on it and it is gross. so I block them.
Also, I know this is kinda off topic, but Sarah Palin’s facebook page has been down for almost 24 hours now. Someone shut it down. Obama’s brown shirts??

You are right on and it is scary about the timing. Face book had problems this morning, the two sights the admin. pointed out as “fomenting a right wing ajenda” or calling grass roots “AstroTurf radicals” Obama sucks big time. I’ve had total respect(unlike the liberals) for every president, Dem or Republican, but I can not tolerate the arrogance, close-mindedness, forked tongued, idiocy coming from this man. And yes, I hope one of his hacks is monitoring FR and sees this and puts me on his enemies list
