Ever since refrigerant R-12 was banned over some “ozone hole” observation in Earth's upper atmosphere (that some charlatan scientist won a Nobel prize for), I've known the environmental movement to be a fraud.

Did you happen to know that right at the time that the BOGUS, GARBAGE, R12 ban was enacted, well politically connected Dupont's patent rights on it were about to run out? Yes, a shocking coincidence!

As I recall, you’re right: R-12 patent rights were about to expire.

In my mind, what really took the cake was the Ozone hole story. In researching that theory, I found one science book recognizing that R-12 is heavier than air, and telling the reader that R-12 made it into the upper atmosphere thanks to things like tornadoes and dust devils.
