"Now it is easy for some advocates of Darwinism to say that the law of Natural Selection, as defined by Mr. Darwin, is in some sense, a God-ordained law, and directed by Him in its general working... But Mr. Darwin tells us that the use of the words "plan of creation" or "unity of design" are marks of ignorance. In other words, there is no "plan of creation," there is no "unity of design" in the Darwinian hypothesis." [Charmichael, Design and Darwinism, 1880]Get them here."it is not conceivable that any man should adopt the main element of Mr. Darwin's theory, viz., the denial of all final causes... and yet retain his faith in Christ." [Hodge, What is Darwinism, 1874]
Thanks for the link!
So your point with the quotes is... what? That there are those that see a conflict between Darwinism and Christianity? You hardly needed to pull out a quote from 1880 to show that, I’m talking to several people right now on FR that believe that, if you haven’t noticed.
“I dont see a conflict between Darwinism and intelligent design.”
It’s simple when you just divorce yourself from all logic...
Evolution is an undirected process directed by God.
A purposeless process with purpose.
A random, accidental process unguided process, that’s really not...so...ummmm random and...not...exactly an accident and oh yeah....all guided by God.
And an undesigned process, DESIGNED by God...
but best of all an unitelligent process...well you get the picture...
it’s kind of fun imagining someone trying to explain themselves when before God and He asks, “What did you mean by UNitelligent anyway junior........”???????? LOL!!!
