Everyone should wrie them letters and deluge them with response.
Under the Email Subject “Is this Nazi Germany?” I wrote the following...
“There is a lot of disinformation about health insurance reform out there, spanning from control of personal finances to end of life care. These rumors often travel just below the surface via chain emails or through casual conversation. Since we can’t keep track of all of them here at the White House, we’re asking for your help. If you get an email or see something on the web about health insurance reform that seems fishy, send it to flag@whitehouse.gov.”
Pres. Obama, take a minute to read the first amendment, please! “Casual conversation”??? What is this, Nazi Germany? My father fought his way across France, Belgium and into Germany itself because of a ruthless regime that used these very tactics you now espouse. No way in HELL will I inform on my fellow Americans.
You are trying to giftwrap this TURD of a healthcare plan and ram it down our throats. A woman in Philadelphia asked HHS Secretary Sebelius the other day if we should believe that a Gov’t that has bankrupted Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, AND can’t run a used car lot (Cash for Clunkers) can manage 1/7th of our Nation’s economy in the form of a healthcare plan. She wasn’t given the courtesy of an answer. We are not a “Mob”, we are concerned citizens who have found our voices. For 8 years we heard that “Dissent is patriotic”. Well, Mr. Obama, I am a PATRIOT. Tell your fellow Democrats that we are HERE, and that we ARE NOT BACKING DOWN. We will remember this behavior in the voting booths in 2010, and in 2012.

My simple letter to them:
Dear President Obama,
Wouldn’t turning in opponents of your health care reform plan be against the First Amendment? What will happen to the people who are turned in?
My grandfather was turned in to the authorities once. He ended up nearly dying in Buchenwald. His mother died in a different camp. My other great-grandparents also died in a camp because someone turned them in.
Isn’t free speech allowed here in the United States? Even if we disagree with something our government does?
