“How Dunham was able to travel the 2,680 air miles from Honolulu to Seattle only a few days after the birth of her baby – at a time when trans-Pacific travel likely was at a speed half of today’s jets”

Corsi you idiot. The Boeing 707 was in production since 1958. Even a prop plane could make it from Hawaii to Seattle.

In production, and in widespread use on the Honolulu to Seattle route are two different things. Plus what was the price differential between going jet and going with say a Strato Cruiser, DC-6 or DC-7. My Dad flew out from Nebraska to California on a DC-6, IIRC, although it could have been a DC-7, not too much later than 1961, Could have even been the summer of '61, but '62 or '63 seems more likely.

You need to work on reading comprehension and attention to detail.

He wrote: "at a time when trans-Pacific travel likely was at a speed half of today’s jets”. I read that he's saying that she was more likely to have flown on a prop job rather than a DC-8, 707 or Convair 880/990, and that if she did the flight would be longer in duration. It would also probably be cheaper.

Corsi you idiot.

I am really sorry that the Swift Boat Vets got involved with this guy, who seems to enjoy chasing windmills.

Long distance jet travel in 1961 was about the same in speed as today’s jet travel. Good grief, Corsi, get a grip!!!
