A ‘Sir Eric Lavender’ should appear in the London Gazette at the time he was knighted.

The only Eric Lavender I can find in the Gazette appears on 7th July 1950 as executor of a will.

My error - looked for Eric Lavender, not Edward Lavender. Correcting that with a new search now.
