OK, so to what "biased" site was I supposed to have been redirected while visiting the Bamford site? Which I did do, a number of times before it shut down, all without being redirected, much less to a "biased" site.

And, based on the Washington Independent link in your original post, the motivation to hack the site on their behalf by them or anyone else is minimal. So, you obviously got confused and jumped to an unwarranted conclusion.

Yawn. I said the Washington Independent was a biased site which was linked to. The link to that site, which I included in the body of the OP of this thread, is fully functional. I did not say that the Washington Independent hacked the genealogy website.

Your second paragraph makes zero sense.

What I'm saying is, you didn't see what you said you saw. All you saw was a site going offline because of excessive bandwidth utilization. No big deal. Happens all the time when an obscure site with a cheap hosting deal suddenly becomes popular for some reason. The "biased site" thing, the only thing interesting here, is a total red herring.

Unless you can show bomford.net was hacked, you have nothing but a commonplace observation.
