High damned time. The one should have known better than to hire a crank like Craig.

Craig's agenda stems from his association with the Clintons. Their scorched earth policies were used to destroy their enemies and Craig still looks at all Republicans as enemies. Obama is seriously naive to think that the Clinton's cronies will do well for him. Rahm (the President will be on the networks in prime time tonight whether you like it or not!)Emanuel included.

Interesting.

And who’s waiting in the wings to take Craig’s place?
Is Obama beginning to purge the Clintonistas and replace them with his Chicago acquaintances?

efforts to find legal ways to indefinitely hold some detainees who can't be put on trial.
It is not possible to give enemy combatant terrorists civilian-style rights and also hold them indefinitely. It's the legal equivalent of trying to square the circle.

Obama administration officials are holding discussions that could result in White House counsel Gregory Craig leaving his post, following a rocky tenure, people familiar with the matter said. Pleasant suprise for Mr. Craig when he opens tomorrow's newspaper.
Another thug move (not to mention utterly classless and cowardly) by the administration.

Greg Craig's immortal, infamous legacy:
To: mfnorman
Mr. Craig has built a White House counsel's office of formidable size, with 41 lawyers, according to the administration's most recent filings. Mr. Bush left office with about 30 lawyers in his counsel's office. In response to earlier questions about why he had built such a large office, Mr. Craig said: "We have the best new law firm on the planet." Empire builder... with taxpayer money, of course. What a scumbag.
