Possibly. I do find it interesting that the number 4 on the document seems to be the open top version of the Schmutz font that was discussed over at D.U. As far as the crest is concerned. Don't forget that Australia was part of Great Britain in 1959, so the crest would that of England. Not Australia. Seems to match this Coat of Arms on this building in England.

Australia was granted a coat of arms in 1936. It matches up perfectly with the Bomford document.

“As far as the crest is concerned. Don’t forget that Australia was part of Great Britain in 1959, so the crest would that of England. Not Australia. Seems to match this Coat of Arms on this building in England.”

That statement is false:

The Commonwealth of Australia was created on January 1st 1901. The Dominion was granted a distictive set of Arms by His Majesty King Edward VII on May 7th, 1908 (modified by HM King George V on September 19th, 1912.

The State of South Australia was granted distinctive arms by HM King Edward VIII in 1936 (modified by HM Queen Elizabeth II in 1984).

Their are two sets of arms for the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (not England). one set is for use in England and Wales and also in Northern Ireland. The other set is for use in Scotland:

If you look attentively on the front page at the alleged Kenyan document, you'll see clearly at the top Kenya coat of arms - the two lions with the oblong shield in the middle.

Koyann (Steve Ellis), who fabricated the fake "Australian" certificate, didn't take the time to replacte the crest, instead he cropped the upper part of the template, as you can see: the words "South Australia" are cut in half. It's clear that he used the Kenya image as template and not the other way around. The typed letters are not distorted by the paper creases as they should.

BTW, I found this post about Koyaan:

http://rosettasister.wordpres s.com/2008/08/

"Maybe Steve Ellis, aka Koyaan, has Tourette Syndrome. It certainly is a good possibility, because he seems to have no self control over his use of foul language, especially lots of swear words related to excrement, when he is on his own blog, or on mine. He is also a pathological liar.

Yet, he knows that he cannot get away with being a potty mouth on FR, and he wonders why he was banned. BUT, he’s lurking out there, trolling around here for things that he can denigrate on his cesspool of a blog.

He’s a 25 year old teenager.

He calls you, “Kevmoron,” but I’m the one who really drives him bonkers. He keeps devoting whole posts to me, with such creative titles as “Again, Polarik is full of “s**t” and pithy comebacks like “And Polarik wonders why I called him a f**king retard.”

My advice is to either ignore him, or to leave your posts on his blog, and see how he likes it.

He’s reminds me of a squashed bug on the windshield: annoying, but not worth stopping to clean it off."

It says it all. Koyaan forged the "Australian" hoax, using a template from Ms.Taitz jpg and the data found on the Bomford genealogy site.

He is such a moron, that he gave himself away with the fish-smelling little "story" posted on http://www.politijab.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php? f=25&t=2099&start=0#p54695:

"After having spent (wasted?) nearly a year in the trenches of Birthistan, I decided several months ago to "retire" and move on, save for dropping by here once in a while to keep in touch with some of the friends I'd made here. And then yesterday this Kenyan birth certificate thing seemed to explode like Krakatoa on the Internet. It was claims about Obama's Hawaiian certificate being a forgery that suckered me into all this stuff last summer, and I guess I must still be a sucker for a good birth certificate story because I decided to look into this one. I wanted to see if I could find any images of similar documents from Kenya around the same time period that could be compared to the certificate on the web. I spent several hours with Google image search on that before I decided to broaden my search outside of Kenya-specific documents. It was some time later that I finally spotted a thumbnail on one of the results pages that looked very much like the Kenyan certificate. I pulled up the full size image and found that it was virtually EXACTLY the same type of document. It was a scanned image of a "Certified Copy of Registration of Birth" dated in 1964 for a David Jeffrey Bomford on a genealogy website for the Bomford family. Except that David Jeffrey Bomford wasn't born in Kenya, he was born in South Australia. But what was even more interesting was certain other features of the document as compared to the Kenya certificate. The names of the registrar and the district registrar were the SAME NAMES as given in the Kenya certificate save for the first initials, i.e. G.H. Lavender and J.H. Miller in the Bomford document versus E.H. Lavender and M.H. Miller in the Kenya document. Also, the book number (44B) and page number (5733) were the exactly the same on both documents. The image of the Bomford certificate seems to prove beyond any doubt that not only is the Kenya certificate a fake, but that whomever faked it used the Bomford certificate as the template. Here's a scaled down image of the Bomford certificate:"
