The only dates I see say 1961. And why issue a COLB from Kenya in 1964?
Read the bottom right of the paper, “I, Joshua Simon Oduya, Deputy Registrar of Births, Deaths, and Marriages for the Coast Providence of Kenya, do hereby certify that the above is a true copy of the entry recorded in the Birth Register of this Province, Book 44B , Page 5733 . Given under my Hand and Seal of Office this 17th day of February, 1964”
Apparently someone requested the copy in 1964.
Ann Dunham and Barack Obama Sr. were divorced in 1964 (divorce filed in January, BC issued in February, divorce granted in March), leaving some to speculate that Ann requested an offical copy of Barry Jr.’s BC in order to prove parentage and obtain custody. Makes sense, but who knows?
