Thomas Jefferson’s Birthright Law
An Act declaring who shall be deemed citizens of this Commonwealth (Virginia).
“Be it enacted by the General Assembly, That all white persons born within the territory of the Commonwealth, and all who have resided therein two years next before the passing of this act; and all who shall hereafter migrate into the same, other than alien enemies, and shall, before any Court of Record, give satisfactory proof, by their oath or affirmation, that they intend to reside therein; and moreover, shall give assurance of fidelity to the Commonwealth; and all infants, whenever born, whose father, if living, or otherwise, whose mother was a citizen at the time of their birth, or who migrate hither, their father, if living, or otherwise, their mother becoming a citizen, or who migrate hither without father or mother, shall be deemed citizens of this Commonwealth until they relinquish that character, in manner as hereinafter expressed (expatriation); and all others not being citizens of any of the United States of America, shall be deemed aliens.”
And that may be why he won't release the long form certificate. It has his father's birthplace, and it would make it "official" that he is not "natural born", by the understanding of the authors and ratifiers of the Constitution.
It's one thing for him to write it in his books, they are full of lies about his background anyway, quite another for there to be an official document someone could take to a court and say, "See judge, he had divided allegiance at birth, so he's not natural born", and then prove that given his parentage, he does not fit the criteria as understood by the founding generation.
But OTOH, if you just take his books into court, that should be sufficient to have the state of Hawaii ordered to produce the long form certificate.
Thanks :)
