Why I Voted Democrat 2008. I voted Democrat because:

I love the fact that I can now marry whatever I want. I've just proposed to my horse.

I believe oil companies' profits of 4% a gallon are obscene, but the govt taxing the same gallon at 15% isn't.

I believe the govt will do a better job of spending the money I earn than I would.

Freedom of speech is fine as long as nobody is offended by it.

When we pull out of Iraq I trust that the bad guys will stop what they're doing because they now think we're good people.

I'm way too irresponsible to own a gun; I know that my local police are all I need to protect me from murderers and thieves.

I believe that people who can't tell us if it will rain on Friday can tell us that the polar ice caps will melt away in ten years if I don't start driving a Prius.

I'm not concerned about the slaughter of millions of babies so long as we keep all death row inmates alive.

Business should not be allowed to make profits; they need to break even and give the rest togov't for redistribution as THEY see fit.

Liberal judges need to rewrite the Constitution every few days to suit some fringe kooks who would never get their agendas past the voters.

I voted Democrat because my head is so firmly planted up my a** that it is unlikely that I'll ever have another point of view.

(evil grin) Here's something *funny* that happened this past Saturday morning in Barry's 'hometown'₍₁₎ of Chicago.

At approx 6:30 am, an off duty Chicago Cop was robbed of his..... HANDGUN! It was his service weapon, a 9mm S&W.
3 male Black ‘yutes’ (18-20 yo) did the deed (Strong Armed Robbery) at 54th & South Michigan Ave. (not a nice area)

I heard this over the CPD Police radio band (Internet feed). It was a 'Flash' (Emergency) Citywide call for all Beat Cops in the city. So much for the gun-grabbers 'Only Police should have guns' and 'the police can protect me'. *Heck*, they can't even protect themselves.

The sad part is that this poor cop now has to buy another $600-$900 service weapon as Chicago Cops have to provide their own handguns. And no, not a peep about this was in any Chicago newspaper. (That wouldn't make Mayor Daley look too good.)

(1) Obama is no more 'from' Chicago than I am 'from' Chesterton, Indiana where I used to camping every weekend as a kid at the Indiana Dunes State Park! ( a really cool place)
