Here's the trick ~ there are a gazillion font styles available for use in MS Word. Some of them are designed to look just like a typewriter. Plus (the best part) you can make various adjustments to the appearance to create an impression of irregularity, and old ribbon.

Once you're done with that, you can pop your handiwork into some sort of drawing program (e.g. Photoshop) and wrap it up.

The technological revolution has come in these matters, so just because it looks like typing doesn't mean it is.
