[Jim KNEW the bank’s non-confrontational policy... and did it anyway... and in doing this... he may have put other tellers at risk... because bank robbers are more likely to shoot first and ask questions later now...]

Thieves are always more likely to commit robberies when they know the policy is for employees to instantly comply with demands.

If the policy was for employees to always resist robbers and pull shotguns out of their drawers and shoot robbers in the head, you’d pretty quickly see a whole lot fewer robbery attempts.

And alot of robbers are already caught. You only say this because you have no clue what happens in a bank robbery. Do you know anyone that has worked at a bank and been in a take over robbery? Doubt it. If you did you would know this man could of gotten people killed.

Or wait maybe you’re right.. we need more people getting killed over a few thousand dollars. Silly me.

People who rob banks aren't very smart. There might be a few less, but most bank robbers have no idea what bank policy a given bank might have. Their defective mental processes lead them to bank robbery the same way moths are attracted to flame. They can't help it, they are just too dumb to behave otherwise.

A little history that I like from my home town:

In 1921 four men got a ride in to Bruceton Mills with a local farmer on a wagon coming from Morgantown. They asked the farmer many questions about the bank. The farmer, being suspicious, called the bank cashier at the time, Jeremiah Thomas, and told him that the four men might try to rob the bank. Two of the men hid behind a church while the other two men,( Named Moore and Madden), stopped at a house owned by the Benson family and stole some food and guns. While they hid in the woods the men ate the food and then proceeded to the bank. At the bank a group of men including Dr. DeFoe was waiting for them. Moore the smaller of the two stood behind Madden and took a shot at Dr. DeFoe but missed. Dr. DeFoe returned fire and shot Moore, who died soon after. The same bullet snapped the suspenders off the pants of Madden. Constable Benson then went to the church and arrested the other two men, one of which was carrying a bottle of liquid later determined to be nitroglycerin.
