Read the synopsis of the Republican Healthcare alternative. The Patient's Choice Act. At present the bill has only 7 sponsors. If anyone finds another bill with greater Republican support, I would like to read it.  Read the review of the Patient's Choice Act.

Mark Steyn: A Liberty Issue

“How did the health-care debate decay to the point where we think it entirely natural for the central government to fix a collective figure for what 300 million freeborn citizens ought to be spending on something as basic to individual liberty as their own bodies?”

They shouldn’t be giving “their” version. We don’t need a “version”. If they had the cajones they’d just say NO!

The dems will never go for it as it is not a hitler-like take-over of our jobs, health and life, killing the elderly and revolving door continuous abortions in every hospital.

Just say NO to changes in insurance coverage

You and I are on the same page ideologically. I have published a 12 step plan but it will take some doing to achieve it. The problem as I see it with the present system, is that a person cannot shop in every state for insurance. If they live in New Jersey and are paying higher rates than in Pennsylvania, they are stuck with the New Jersey plan. Republicans want to open the market to national competition. I agree this is good. The more companies competing for your business the more likely they will have to lower premiums and give better coverage

However, insurance policies are designed by state bureaucrats who limit our choices to PPO's or HMO's. Sate regulators are presently dictating the terms and rates for insurance. Want to say NO, then say no to state regulators and certainly say NO to Federal Regulators. Allow insurance companies to compete in a free market. I'll choose what plan I like and what company I like. If one company goes bankrupt, perhaps then the government can step in until the policy holder finds a new company. It's the FDIC for insurance companies.

One day at a time - so slowly that people didn't see it coming. We are far from what the founding fathers created. I think we can agree on this!

I hereby waive all rights to receive any and all health care benefits funded by the federal government. It’s private health care or death!
