I searched for a few hours today and found one lame reference to Kenya as "The Republic of Kenya" prior to Dec of 1964. They just didn't call it that until Dec of '64. They spoke of Kenya *becoming* a republic, but didn't call it that.

I, for one, am proud of FR. Yes, we got up in arms over it, but we also were the ones to debunk it, even if the outcome isn't what many of us *wanted* it to be.
