American hikers held in Iran (aka journalists?

IRAN'S state-owned Arabic-language al-Alam TV station has confirmed that three US citizens were arrested after crossing the border from Iraq.

The report said the three Americans were detained on Friday after crossing into Iran's Kurdistan province. They were arrested after refusing to heed warnings from border guards.

A fluent speaker of Arabic, his work has largely focused on the Middle East and North Africa, where he has spent much of the past six years. We would expect no less in America. But in Iran, the justice handed out is quite different. Not a bright move by the Americans who were arrested.
