Overthrow Obama? Huffpo Thinks Obama Overthrow Imminent
Right Pundits ^ | 8/2/09 | staff

I just read the most ridiculous article posted on the Huffington Post; the author, Danny Schechter asks the absurd question, “Could Obama Be Overthrown”. Then let me ask the question, “Who is talking about overthrowing Obama? According to Schechter, everyone is.

Sure there has been strong opposition to the President’s policies and yes even the crazy birthers are getting more than their fair share of coverage, but nobody with any credibility is advocating an Obama overthrow. Danny Schechter seems to be a little paranoid on the subject. From Huffpo:

With Democrats fussing among themselves, with Obamacrats forced to rely on corporate media, the right-wing TV and radio stations close ranks behind the most self-righteously-correct ranters having a filed day poking , prodding, pummeling, and peeing into cups of their own resentment, hate and venom.

There is no smear that is beneath them, no inference or insult out of bounds. Lou Dobbs blesses the birthers while that Elmer Gantry of demagoguery, Glenn Beck, meditates on his mountain and pronounces Obama a racist. An Israeli settler refers to our President as “that Arab,” and worse.

A leftist nut is saying that "Arab" is a smear? Comparable to "racist?" Or...something "worse?" How unintentionally hilarious.

He’ll be around for another election, and Congress will vote to put his picture on the NEW $1,000 (One Thousand Dollar Bill) that will start circulating by inauguration in Jan...

With what he's doing with the economy, that $1000 bill might get a loaf of bread.

"Obama has overthrow insurance. His name if Joe Biden."

Everyone says that, but ... really, really consider;

Biden is a clown.

There's no way Biden could (or perhaps would) get in front of the cameras day after day and spout any of the insidious $h!t zero does.

All confidence in the direction of the socialist agenda would evaporate and a republican comeback of all three branches could occur.

No, I think Joe would be an excellent person in that office now.

There is no need for IMPEACHMENT when Fraud placed him in office. He has no authority to his position and we do not have to have our corrupt politians get him OUT.

IMPEACHMENT not necessary, NULLIFICATION of election and all of his regulations is what we are after.

RESET and the UNRAVELLING will have a purpose. THINK BIG, this country is worth it.

Why wait. I’ve been calling for civil disorder for months now!
He’s proven to me that he’s out to destroy the country. What more do people want to see. Frankly , I doubt the right has the balls to actually do anything but bitch on websites about it . We need to be in DC blocking doors of senators and kicking some ass.

at this point, what we have is not hard clear provable evidence that FRAUD has been perpetrated on the America People by the democratic/socialist party when they knowingly swore that he was eligible. That is what Orly Taitz is working so hard on.

ONCE we have proof, the scene should change... then we will see the left wing exposed as what it is.... FACISTS

The only way he will be removed is if he is proven ineligible, and public opinion shifts to the extent that Congress impeaches and the Senate removed per the terms of the Constitution.

If he's proven ineligible (e.g., if the SCOTUS rules that he's not a natural-born citizen according to the law), would impeachment even be in order?

You impeach the President because he has committed "high crimes and misdemeanors," according to the Constitution. But if the person in the WH is ruled ineligible, then he's not the President and never has been. He's a private citizen (or maybe not even that) occupying government property in violation of law.

Obama does to a certain extent, but to me he is focused on changing the nation to marxism and that is it.

I'm not sure he thinks he'll need favor via polls to stay in office from 2012 to ......

"This is much bigger than people are thinking. It’s not just about Obama, it’s about the ENTIRE process that is corrupt."

Exactly. The corruption is widespread. Media, the judicial branch, both houses, every level of government.

The corruption in this country is so vast that I really doubt it can be overcome. The people just don't have the will, nor the numbers to take on such an enormous task that this is.

There's a lot of money and powerful people behind this, all the unelected elitist in the NGO's hiding in the hallways of the UN, and dozens of little Caesars who want to carve up the world under the guise of world governance into their own little empires. We are going up against enormous power.

This is purely hypothetical on my part. What if?

It is proved beyond a shadow of doubt that Obama was not born in U.S. and is therefore not eligible to be president.

What would then happen? It would really test the axiom that we are a CONSTITUTIONAL REPUBLIC. If we are then Obama would HAVE to be removed by the Congress. Would they have the guts to do it? The Congress is heavily Democratic at this time. If they didn't do it, then essentially the CONSITITUION is meaningless.

What would the Supreme Courts role in this be?

And what would public reaction be? What would happen in the black community. Would the same rabble rousers (Jackson, Sharpton, and worse) cause massive riots that would make the LA Riots look like a tea party? Would this be the end of Constitutional Government? Martial Law?

I don't have a clue. As I stated I'm just speculating. But I'm sure of one thing. If it did come to pass that Obama was ineligible, it would be a mess of monumental proportions. It might just be the biggest mess since the Civil War. Perhaps this is why many want to look the other way. They are simply too afraid of the consequences.

I'll say it again. This is all wild speculation on my part. I haven't a clue as to what might happen only to say it wouldn't be pretty.

The military will remove him if Congress does not act and they will be in hot water themselves.

Hope the military and police or even armed citizens will put down the major riots in all the big city

The Constitution is very clear on this matter. The Supreme Court does not have the Constitutional authority to remove a sitting President (and may not even have oversight to determine eligibility). Once a President assumes power, only an impeachment and conviction can remove him.

As we have seen, the Courts are very subject to the political whims of a single individual, and the public has no oversight of the Courts. The Founders likely did not want to leave the authority to remove a President up to such whims.

Thus, only the legislature can remove him. Assuming office fraudulently would certainly fall within the purview of a “high crime and misdemeanor”.

The corruption in this country is so vast

Exceeded only by the vast vapidity of, I suppose, the majority of our fellow Americans. To them, this is all just politics - the outs fighting the ins.

Take me out to the ball game.

I will fully support a military removal of Obama, his henchmen and both House and Senate from office.

Time to hit the reset button and reboot the Constitution.

"And, anyone that does anything more is a damn fool, and deserves what comes to them. You have no Constitutional removal power. And, you will be resisted by good patriotic Americans that have sworn to defend this country and its Constitution against threats, foreign and domestic.

SnakeDoc

Wrong. We have full constitutional power to remove a corrupt government. it's OUR nation, not theirs. The right to bear arms is part of what the constitution spells out as the power of the people to select AND remove a government.

Doubt it, but don’t know.

In any case, ‘round here (in a semi rural area...), the rifles that were fitted with full mags are now on safe, with one chambered.

The CCW’s are always carried armed, as you’d expect.

All things considered, with no kids and well past 50, we’ve invested in, unwillingly, the “system”, and’d just prefer to be left alone.

I don’t think that that will happen, hence our posture, but, as they say, your mileage may vary...
