I have never thought hippies were peaceful. That's just what they want everyone to think.

You are right. The hippie movement was not peaceful. Quite the contrary, it was subversive and disruptive and instrumental in undermining the character of the American landscape. The progeny of the hippies is the contemporary leftist liberal who would like you to think he is just looking out for the little guy, but in reality is focused on the complete destruction of Western heritage.
