Have you seen this poster?
Apparently, it's beginning to appear in odd places in Los Angeles, but nobody seems to know who's responsible for it.
Radio host Tammy Bruce posted some pictures of this odd creation at her blog Saturday morning (h/t Pamela Geller) leading me to investigate further.
At this point, all I could find on the subject was an April 25 article from Bedlam Magazine:
A poster of Barack Obama in Heath Ledger-style Joker make-up with the legend 'Socialism' beneath it has been popping up recently on surfaces around L.A. It does not appear to be in the same category as the many benign take-offs on the Shepard Fairey 'Hope' poster, such as the one by Australian James Lillis (more of a straightforward spoof that merely substituted a Shepardized image of Heath Ledger as Joker on the Obama poster).

lol Well...I’ve always thought he looked like the Joker from Batman but not the Heath Ledger version. He looks like the old Batman cartoon/comic book with that long chin and wonky smile.

This is what we need to be doing. God, it’s brilliant.
Using the tactics of the left does not mean adopting the politics of the left. This is classic guerilla theater - a poster here, graffiti there, something both humourous and mocking. Yeah!
Someone needs to use the slogans of the left against them, too. If it’s my body and I get to do what I want with it, why should I let a bunch of old white guys tell me which doctor to see? (I use this as an example.) If you don’t want profit-driven CEOs of the megacorporation making medical decisions, why is it better to have politically-driven bureaucrats making this decisions?
Also annoying, and effective, is just looking at some of the leftists with that same exasperated look I give my 11-year-old when he’s done something wrong and saying, “You just don’t get it.”
The left has been undermining the country’s culture for decades. Time for us to undermine the left.
I live way out here next to the Arctic Circle, so my ability to undermine the establishment, so to speak, is limited, but I have taken up Rush on his fine saying and I’ve been asking Obamanauts this question with a faint smile: “So how’s that hope and change working out for ya?”
Remember what Alinsky taught us - ridicule is impossible to defend against. And Obama apparently has very thin skin. Bring on the clowns!
Part of what’s good about the poster is that it would be difficult to characterize as racist. And it gets right to the heart of things with one word, “socialism”. It’s a perfect visual soundbite.

I think it is brilliant and will work very nicely with the udner 35yo crowd especially the under 25’s! I wish I could get my hands on some of those to hang here in Ohio. I could think of a few overpasses in busy areas that could be
decorated, the I-70, I-77 interchange isn’t too far from here.
Can’t you just see the Brittle One sweating a little as campuses and urban centers get covered with these things?
