I’m asking because most of the Baptists I know are really conservative.

I hope not, but I wouldn’t be surprised. The term “Baptist” is pretty meaningless anymore. That is why I said I am “Southern Baptist.” Except for a few bad eggs, we are a pretty conservative lot.
