And you’ve gotten exactly nothing in response. One very clear reason why no one has been shown the birth certificate is that there is *no legal requirement* for a candidate to show it. And that’s precisely why the simple solution is to enact a state law requiring it...
But, that’s just “too much” for some people to fathom...
I have posted previously the same idea, that we need a few states to pass a law requiring proof of Constitutional eligibility before being included on a ballot.
That said, I wonder exactly what it is that keeps Soetoro from releasing the long form. It is not simply because no law requires him to. No law requires him to breathe, either. I’m guessing he’s all the way non-eligible, that he wasn’t born in the US.
Hence, we have two autobiographies that acquaint us with the notion that Soetoro has had presidential aspirations since he was 5, that he taught Constitutional Law, and that he once found his birth certificate while rummaging around in a box of documents. This is window dressing. It’s all undone by his one profound statement that the Constitution is an imperfect document. What would make it perfect is if it didn’t make him ineligible to run for the highest office. Enough stink has to be raised to prevent him from seeking a second term.
