Yes there IS a ‘legal requirement’.
It’s called the CONSTITUTION!
READ IT!
It doesn’t say a candidate can show he’s a natural born citizen IF HE WANTS TOO!
It’s REQUIRED they be ‘natural born’!
And since it’s a required, then he must PROVE IT!
