can you give a source. I don’t think this is true for all states. I know in South/North Carolina the percentage was much, much lower.

OH NO!!! Don't bring up those facts, especially the FACT that there were a number of black slaveowners as well. And NEVER bring up the fact that a large number of the slaves were captured and shipped out of Africa by...fellow blacks. /sarc off I'd bet a cold 12 pack that Barry's ancestors were involved in the slave trade, and they weren't with the folks that were captured and shipped off.
