Pelosi: I'm called a 'villain' all the time, so it's okay to use it back @ 10:22 am by Michael O'Brien
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) isn't much for calling names, but defended calling health insurers "villains" this past week.
"I don't like using words like 'villains,' but people call me a villain all the time, so I figure it's probably okay to use it back," Pelosi said in an interview on Bloomberg News airing this weekend.
Pelosi went after insurers at her weekly press conference this past week, attracting headlines for calling them "villains."
"It's almost immoral what they are doing," she said. "They are the villains. They have been part of the problem in a major way."
Pelosi continued her campaign against the companies in her interview this weekend.
"The American people have been at their mercy," she said. "It is important for us to have this legislation that puts leverage back in the hands of the American people."
She’ll be gone soon.
“Villain” is by far the mildest epithet I’d use when talking about her.
I don’t call her a villain. I call her something that rhymes with runt.
Interesting combination for Madame Speaker
Villain doesn’t START to cover it, lady...
I agree. I think she is on her last leg and she knows it. She will not allow her reelection to interfere with her socialist agenda.
She has the maturity of an 8th grade school girl. Soon, she’ll be ending statements with “Neener, neener, neener”.
Madame Speaker, you should hear what they called George Bush, yet he never retaliated. You should mold your behavior a little more in line with civility and try not to be the crass beeoch that you are.
Snidely Pelosi.
Do you put a stupid in front of that?
She a silly woman trying to look important. Yeah, wwearing a bubble gum necklace goes a long way in looking important doesn’t it? Sort of like wearing an orange pant suit when meeting with leaders of foreign countries...
It can be implied or voiced. It is your choice. Nancy likes diversity. Mix it up.
