The latest US missile defence test, conducted last night in Hawaii waters, was deemed a success as tensions continue with North Korea over that country's missile programme. A short-range ballistic missile was fired from the Pacific Missile Range Facility on the island of Kauai and then was shot down by a three-stage interceptor missile from a destroyer, the USS Hopper. The test, conducted by the Navy and the Department of Defense's Missile Defence Agency, marked the 23rd firing by ships equipped with the Aegis ballistic missile defense system. With the latest test, there have been 19 successes, including the shooting down of a dead US spy satellite last year.

Obama finishes the "dreaded" missile defense system so that future socialists can use it against us, just like FDR did with nukes...
Oh, and didn't they tell us it would never work?

Oh, and didn't they tell us it would never work? I thought that was a spaced based system that would defeat all incoming Soviet missiles simultaneously.

I thought the democrats wanted this defunded. Now, you'd think it was invented- along with the Internet- by their beloved Al Gore (D).
(Thank you for our missile defense, President Ronald Reagan (R).)

Hmmm
Now that you mention it, I believe you’re right. Boy, did I step in it!
But hey, isn’t he proliferating a new weapons system nonetheless?
Believe me. They will one day somehow try to make the sheep feel guilty over this somehow. They always do...

That kookie Reagan dude thinking you could shoot missiles out of the sky. What an idiot that guy was. No vision what so ever...From NRO:
As recently as 1999, when Congress was considering funding for missile defense, Rep. Peter DeFazio (D., OR) once again invoked the old George Lucas imagery to debunk the idea. Like the movie, this is a phantom solution hitting a bullet with a bullet in outer space.

Didn't that happen a Gettysburg? Seems like I saw pictures of bullets and cannon balls that had collided in air.

You’d think, with N. Korea throwing missiles about, that Hawaiians would start voting Republican, wouldn’t you?
