I got news for you buddy, the IRS already has this power. Their answer to a tax dispute sometimes is a silent vacuuming of a bank account.

I concur. The IRS over a mistake, grabbed 28% of the interest from my accounts and my wife’s based on their inability to fix their mistake.

It tooks 6 months to straighten out, in our favor. But that poster is 100% right. The IRS already has god like power over all our accounts, unless you are politically connected of course.

I know that, but it is restricted to taxes. This is an open end opportunity to take money for “whatever” reason they determine. It is also a way to control your ability to move around, leave the country or whatever you may want to use your own money for.

They can fine you, and redistribute your savings however they wish, just pass some more laws....WHERE DO WE DRAW THE LINE??

They have to go through proceedings before doing that. When you file your taxes you provide a voided check each time, they are not supposed to keep the account info.

If this goes through then once you get your “government health card” simply change bank accounts or open a new one and keep the minimum balance.

Kinda of hard to do when all you keep in there is enough to cover monthly bills.
