Voter intimidation ok with Obama-Holder Justice Department if done by its side

We wrote here and here about the Justice Department's dismissal of a voter intimidation case against a group of armed Black Panthers who threatened would-be voters outside a polling place in Philadelphia. The Justice Department won the case after the defendants defaulted (a wise move by them, it turns out), but decided to give the victory away.

This struck us as another instance in which the Obama-Holder Justice Department made its decision based on political considerations, rather than considerations of justice. This was a case in which members of a political organization showed up at a polling place in uniform and carrying weapons for the announced purpose of providing "security."

It seemed difficult to understand why the Justice Department would walk away from the case after securing a conviction, except by reference to the race of the thugs (African-American) and their political position (left-wing Democratic -- one of them reportedly is a member of Philadelphia's 14th Ward Democratic Committee).

Former Justice Department official Hans Von Spakovsky, posting for Heritage, provides confirmation of the political nature of the Justice Department's decision in this case:

There's a lengthy quote from former Justice Department official, Hans Von Spakovsky, that reads in part...

There is no doubt that this was one of the worst cases of voter intimidation the Department has seen in decades

There's also video of the alleged intimidation posted at the link.

I remember the incident. I also remember back in 2000 or 2004 some ethnic voters were intimidated from going to polling stations because cop cars may have been parked blocks from polling stations...so thats intimidating but guys in berets carry night sticks is NOT intimidating?
Holy canarsie we now have a THUGOCRACY...well WE knew that...I hope the rest of the world is watching.

This should be a sufficiently provocative act to have the AG removed from office or his boss impeached.
Brown shirts might be ready to go in some Blue Cities. Just one problem not all of the nation is made up of sheep, in red states, the populous is likely to not be in a real cooperative mood over having people trying to stop them from voting these Libtards out of office.

I live in the Philly suburbs. This was a big news item last Election Day. I remember one reporter asked Philly mayor Michael "Liver Lips" Nutter about the incident. Nutter rolled his eyes, looking disgusted at the question, and said "This is America-those two men can stand wherever they want". Un-freakin'-believable

This was pure racism by Hussein and Holder, period. In 2010 a few hundred white security folks need to show up at this particular polling place...just to make doubly sure about how SECURE everyone is!!!

If Senator Cornyn or Steele or Congressman (sun tanned) Boehner had any sense of how to sell ideas, they would assign a team to things like Obamacare and have them demand during every interview that Congress live with the same policy that is recommended to the working class. They would have three other people holding signs about the end of the Black Panther voter crap and four people asking if the Cash for Clunkers is anything like the stimulus - what can we expect from government but BAD DECISIONS. They, the leadership, forget that the DemocRATS have a system for keeping bad ideas in front of the people -that is why Republicans always look like losers. ( the medium is the message.)

"If Senator Cornyn or Steele or Congressman (sun tanned) Boehner had any sense of how to sell ideas..."

Leaving Steele out of it (because he's just in over his head), Cornyn and Boehner are decent legislators who usually do yeoman's work in their respective bodies. But, leaders they aren't. And as you point out, they couldn't sell a heater to a Eskimo.

The Republican's have yet to find the one or two great communicators that really know how to sell ideas, philosophies and solutions to the American people. While Obama and the Democrats falter, the GOP hasn't been able to close the deal with voters because their spokespeople aren't charismatic, compelling or convincing.

But, there a few ( I just mentioned this on another thread) that are beginning to show real promise. The names Ryan, Pence, McCotter, Hunter Jr. all are names on the ascendancy. There is a glimmer of light now visible at the end of the tunnel.

I wonder why they don’t ask some conservative entertainers how to create and deliver a message. It would not hurt to bring in a training in Public speaking to redirect how they manage a message. They just don’t get that being stragiht is not the same as being inspiring. Sarah inspires - Boehner talks at the camera crew.
