TWO cut-rate mortgages from failed subprime giant Countrywide Financial continue to cost Sen. Christopher Dodd, shredding the Connecticut Democrat's credibility as he faces re-election next fall.

This week, news of the secretive Senate Ethics Committee investigation into Dodd's unusual mortgage deals leaked to The Associated Press. AP reported that at least one witness, Robert Feinberg, starkly contradicted Dodd's account of what favors he knew he was getting from a company that, as a member of the Banking Committee, he helps regulate

Can we just say it? Dodd took a bribe from Countrywide. OK? It’s no different than the cash found in Congressman Jefferson’s freezer — just a fancier way to do it.

And today he announces he has prostrate cancer(reports are that it is in very early stages and not life threatening).

Color me suspicious of his timing.

A doctor once said if a man lives long enough he'll get prostate cancer. And that most likely he'll die of something else - long before the prostate cancer “gets” him... That said - some prostate cancers are more aggressive than others and DO need to be taken seriously.

In Dodd’s case who knows - but liberals do tend toward self pity, victim-hood, and manipulation based on pity - more than most...

Dodd’s real cancer problem has more to do with that part of the brain where ethics and judgement lies. That cancer, is inoperable and from testimony on capitol hill this week, it is spreading.

I am just going by the report. It states that it is in it’s very early stages and is not life threatening. The only thing I wish on Dodd is that he be held responsible for his criminal actions. It is worth note however, that he will get the best healthcare on the planet while he is actively working to remove those same health options from the rest of us.

I had the same level of prostate cancer and had surgery 9 years ago (along with Vietnam War Hero Sen. John F*ng Kerry on the same day). Doctor tells me it will be something else that gets me now.

Dodd you're a crook. Maybe you can get the operation for free in a Federal Penn.
