Obviously she should have delivered it orally in their native language.

Sheesh. If you come here you should learn how to speak ENGLISH. And so should the kids !

Umm, I think you missed my point.

The parents DID speak (limited) English - I know of some college grads that would have had trouble wading thru the gobblygook the woman had sent home with her students.

Keep in mind there MASSIVE numbers of native born, multigenerational, “English speaking” Americans, mostly educated in publik skool, that are - in fact, functionally illiterate.

Ask a friend to explain their credit card application, mortgage paperwork or even what is required for a living will - I suspect you may be surprised.
