Moreoverand this is a point I havent seen others makewhen Gates was shouting in the hearing of passerbys that Crowley was a racist, Crowley must have regarded this as a threat to his entire career. Allegations of racism could result in losing his job, being publicly disgraced, being unable to get another good jobthe end of everything hed worked for all his adult life.

Typical of a Marxist. Sgt. Crowley may still be destroyed in some way.
I think that Gates had too many skeletons in his closet for this to go the way Obama was trying to set it up, and Crowley had too much integrity to malign him
The only way to win is to do the same type of damage back.
In case you missed it (I did):

The lesson that should have been learned by the racist Gates was that he could have been in terrible danger.
His ugly outburst at the police sent to protect him and his property might have very well have led to his death by a crazed home invader.
From Barone’s article: It will be interesting to see who shows contrition after this afternoons beer session.
(((((
It was Crowley who was man enough to step up to the bank of microphones and cameras. Not Gates!
Gates is a nut. It is that plain.
Interesting. a 6 grand award to his fiance, Angela Deleon who is a phd candidate at Harvard where he teaches. Wonder if she is his student and his fiancee. Seems pretty on the edge if not unethical for a professor to be engaged to his student and give her grants from his foundation.
Yes, I’ll bet he doesn’t want many questions asked. And of course, the MSM won’t ask them.
So much for Whorealdo’s comments that Gates is an old man in a wheelchair.
He brought his fiance to the beer bust.
Why do you think Gates created the uproar Mr Barone? You hit the nail on the head. He had been waiting for that moment for years.
I read somewhere (can’t find it now) that Gates said Crawley is a nice guy when he is not arresting someone. He just put another log on the fire. Not a smart guy
There is enough that is accurate that the reader falls for the idea that Crowley feared for his job because he had been called a racist.
What a line of BS.
As a peace officer, how many times in all of those years on the street do you imagine he has been called a racist?
How many times do you think he has had some threat to the effect that “You don't know who you are messing with, I will get your job”?
I would guess 3 or 4 times a year.
The article is BS intended to show Crowley as a wimp who used his badge to hide behind.
Let’s rewind the tape and see how this COULD have gone. The lady calls 9-1-1, and the police take their sweet time getting there. Crowley arrives just in time to see Gates brutally attacked or killed by a home invader. Then the event would have been spun as lackadaisical police not aggressively responding. It’s a no-win situation, folks.
I doubt there is a white police officer in this country today that has more than a year on the job who hasnt been called a racist by a Gates clone. 99% of the time it is ignored because it is expected. This idiot, Gates had to get loud and boisterous and show his arrogance to the point where he was disorderly.
Actually now Gates is happy, He has showed his Bona Fides to his black peers. he is now proven his Blackness for all to see and can go back to teaching at Harvard with a new perspective from his liberal puppet students. There is hardly a Black man alive who doesn’t look up to Gates for his stand.
Slander is slander, but you’re right, it is a bit of a stretch to know what was in Crowley’s mind. The conclusion never made me think that Crowley was a wimp, or “hiding behind his badge.” To me , that’s “spin” too. I do know that Marcus Latrelle wrote about the political consequences he had to think about on the battlefields of Afghanistan, so I suspect there’s an element of that here too.
This whole story is one reason why conservatives like a Sarah Palin - like Crowley she worked to get her role in life and like Crowley the elites have taken shots in order to be elite and above us working folks.
I believe we will see an surge of this kind of reaction to the police trying to do their job.
Now they have an added incentive that they will get to have a beer with the president, not that another reason is really needed.
Maybe that crazed Charles Manson was prophetic when he predicted an all out race war would happen in this country and it would seem obama is doing the groundwork for it.
It will certainly give police pause in following up on such calls. Crowley was on some sort of administrative duty and could have ducked it, probably, but since he was in the area, he figured he’d get there first, with greater chance of stopping the crime. Who’s going to do that again? Just let the regular cops on the beat handle it, even if it takes them a few more minutes to get there.
