Correct and Vice-Versa. Northern Oklahoma has a shared cultural and Economic bond with Kansas, especially Wichita.
I live in Wichita and a good number of people here have roots or branches in Southern Oklahoma. More so than they typically do with Missouri or Nebraska. Colorado, for all purposes is basically considered ‘another country’ in these parts.
Tulsa and Wichita also have many connections, a friendly rivalry and common bonds.
Oklahoma is as much Midwestern as it is Southern. To compare it to South Carolina is disingenuous.
Now Tulsa is the buckle of the Bible Belt, ya know...
