The Republicans hold most of the Senate seats up for grabs. While that would have been true if one were to forecast this last year, recent changes, including Specter's conversion and Clinton's and Biden's departures, now puts the numbers as 18 current Republican and 18 current Democratic seats to be contested in 2012.
