LOL.
The arabs took possession of the area recently, as in last century (betweeen WWI and WWII), by killing Jews and taking possession of this part of the city.
The DOR was a nothing mosque, completely neglected -— and the whole “farthest mosque” business is silly -— it was built AFTER Mohammed was dead. (Jerusalem was a Christian city at his death.)
If that was the case they should have taken advantage of their period of possession to demolish the Arabic rathose and build their own Jewish rathole.
The world would be a whole lot better off with less "holy sites" of all religious persuasions.
