“Blue Dog Democrats” -- a formal group of 52 House members -- premise their campaigns on the idea that they are moderate or conservative and are independent of the liberal leadership of Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Ca) and Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-Md).

But are they?

So they vote uberliberal all the time but try to hide it as opposed to Hoyer. Its their constitutents who are more conservative than Pelosi’s. Not the members.

Very good time for us to drive this point home, to the “Blue Dogs” -—
They might well be looking for a way to distance themselves from the ultra-liberal wing of the Dem Party.

Bothersome, if these BD’s are really liberals at heart, trying to fool conservative voters.

Encouraging, if these BD’s actually WANT the perception of independence from Pelosi and Obama.

Well they sure are making Pelosi and Obama look like fools at the present time. They must be awfully scared to return home to their district.

More evidence that conservative candidates can run against, tie them to San Fran Nan Pelosi, and to the unpopular Obama by next year, The Dems lose Congress for sure. The Dems will lose at least 50 seats.

Yea - I saw some of those names, and many are DEFINITELY liberal.

On the other hand, they still really help to drag this out, so that the country could at least have a chance to see what was going on...so it’s certainly better than having these people voting for this plan lock-step.

Whether or not they intended it, they definitely helped inflict major damage on Obama and the rest of the Dems.

"Again, in these 16 important votes in the 111th Congress, Blue Dogs have voted for the Democratic agenda 78% of the time. "

Yep, a real courageous bunch of mavericks there.
