I can show respect in regards to a person to another person, in helping or being kind and gracious (even a group to another group), no matter what culture each is from. But, in terms of one culture to another culture — no... they (the Indian cultures) were never going to make it. They were absolutely destined to fail and it’s not the kind of culture that the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob would condone. This nation was founded on that kind of culture that the founding fathers carried with them (the Judeo-Christian culture and all that goes with it).
It was, by no means, perfect, but it was far and beyond what God would have ever condoned in the Indian cultures. And, unfortunately, right now, this present culture that we’re living in, is (and has been) turning away from the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob — and as a result, this country will suffer judgment, just like the Indians did on their way of life.
I’m not saying that the U.S. will just as a consequence of going through a “cycle” in a culture and declining, but on the basis of our society’s “wholesale abandonment” of the values of the founding fathers and what they believed and followed (in forming this country) from the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
There is a way out for this country (and it would have been the same for the Indian, too), and that’s “national repentance” and turning to the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob for forgiveness. Short of that, we’lll still be receiving God’s judgment (as we are now...) and more of it.
