I saw this comment on a blog (Instapundit) that is relevant to the article. I’m going from my dubious memory but I think it goes like this; I’ll believe it’s a crisis when those who say its a crisis start acting like its a crisis.
When people start going on about global warming, I stop them and say, “If global warning was real, Al Gore would live differently.”
