Home Depot is helping to introduce children to the homosexual lifestyle.
The Nashville Gay Pride website notes that Home Depot contributed more than $5,000 to help finance the 2009 festival. The retailer also participated by conducting children's craft workshops at a special booth set up for them. The company has sponsored similar children's venues at pro-homosexual events in Atlanta, Kansas City, Durham, Portland, and San Diego.
Matt Barber of Liberty Counsel tells OneNewsNow the home improvement store is facilitating the exposure of children to sinful behavior.
"Out of some kind of notion of political correctness and being tolerant, Home Depot is contributing to all of this," he notes. "They're contributing to the corruption of children, and they need to answer for that."

> Did you read the part where they are actively contributing thousands of dollars to “gay pride” events?
Yup. I always try to read the entire article before responding.
> That’s not just having open doors to gay people to buy their products, but openly promoting the lifestyle.
I don’t think so. More likely it is their Public Relations people chipping in some money when asked by the prance-fest organizers. That’s what Public Relations people do: they “relate” to the company’s “public” as a part of the company’s marketing strategies.
Like it or not, homosexualists do comprise a large, legitimate market, and they do purchase power tools and building supplies just like ordinary people do.
If a group of homosexualists ask Home Depot for money so that they can have an event, Home Depot would be really silly not to give them some money. That is why Public Relations has a budget: a portion of the profits specifically designed to be given away to community events. And by supporting the event, they hope to be seen as good corporate citizens, have their logo shown, and ideally lure in some new customers from the homosexual community.
It’s a business decision, and a wise one.
The alternative would be a noisy and unnecessary boycott of their stores by their homosexual customers for discrimination. And possibly losing customers to such as Lowes, who need to nothing but keep their mouths shut and sell them power tools.
I doubt anyone at Home Depot has made an ideological decision that says “Home Depot will now advance the homosexual agenda”. It won’t be that at all: instead they will have taken the view that the prance-fest is a legitimate community event that deserves some support — just like Little League Baseball.
Yes, it is distasteful that this should be the case. However, homosexuality is no longer against the law. They have a right to hold events like their prance-fest, and Home Depot is exercising good business judgment in treating them like they would every other community organization.
Well said. In which case Lowes and Menards are likely to earn business from those who object to what Home Depot are doing.
Home and Gahhhhhhden TV? The things I miss by not watching the boob tube. If Home and Gahhhhhhhden carries pro-gay programming, that is bad on Lowes. Why do gays have to twist everything decent to ruin.
You know the reason. They see a market “segment” to sell stuff to.
They assume that they won't lose other business in doing so.
What does the fruitcakes and their allies going shopping have to do with exposing children to their perversion? How can it *not* be corrupting kids by exposing them to this filth? If this doesn’t warrant conservative protest then almost nothing does! If we don’t fight this evil,we’ll get what we are in effect asking for!
> What does the fruitcakes and their allies going shopping have to do with exposing children to their perversion?
Therefore, don’t bring your kids, and I promise not to bring mine. For those kids that are in attendance, would you prefer that they are supervised, or unsupervised? Home Depot will be giving them something to do in a supervised format. Unsupervised they will be free to “go with the flow” and maybe even encounter a Child Molesterer. Which is your preference?
> How can it *not* be corrupting kids by exposing them to this filth?
Our children are, like it or not, exposed to this filth daily. On television. At school. Luckily we have the choice of not attending this prance-fest, certainly not with our kids.
> If this doesnt warrant conservative protest then almost nothing does!
There are many more useful things for Conservatives to protest against. The lack of clarity surrounding your President’s credentials would be an excellent start. Or how about the decision not to prosecute the Black Panthers for intimidation and meddling with the election? Those are opponents worthy of our steel.
> If we dont fight this evil, well get what we are in effect asking for!
Newsflash: we’ve already got it. That geenie will not go back into the bottle any time soon, unfortunately.
That would be a logical natural consequence.
Everything that we do in this life carries with it natural consequences. Everything.
“Unsupervised they will be they will be free to “go with the flow” and maybe even encounter a child molester.Which is your preference?”
Supervised perversion or unsupervised perversion—*that’s* a choice? I prefer no evil—period. The lesser of two evils is still evil. The fact that this mess is legal no more makes it right than does the legality of abortion or Nazi Germany’s 1935 anti-semitic Nuremberg laws.
You are right that we have already got what we’ve been asking for(and there’s worse to come)and the genie’s not going back in the bottle anytime soon. But does that we should continue to lose to the sodomites by giving up and caving in to them? We are losing this country by doing nothing to fight this *and* the other things you spoke of. In 1836 ,about 189 Texans faced hopeless odds, too. They went down in defeat and death at the Alamo. But they went down swinging. Better to fight and lose than give up
My latest exchange with HOMO DEPOT.

(And my email in response to their unresponsive “response”)
Nayeem,
To be sure I understand, Home Depot will proceed in sponsoring (or has proceeded — I didn’t mark the date) a KIDS WORKSHOP in connection with a Nashville GAY PRIDE FUNCTION? Encouraging young BOYS to mix and mingle with MALE HOMOSEXUALS sounds like a GREAT IDEA to someone there at Home Depot??
I have known a number of homosexuals and had some as friends (PLATONIC, I’d hasten to add!). As a microcosm of the population as a whole, I have generally found most of them to be peaceable, respectful people. Having said that, do you REALLY believe that providing them a target-rich environment of impressionable, adolescent or pre-pubescent boys is wise? You DO understand, don’t you, that due to their orientation, most homosexuals do not REPRODUCE. THEY RECRUIT!
Inasmuch as some folks there apparently lack a moral frame of reference, I’m also guessing they have no idea just HOW TWISTED THAT IS!
Oh, and thanks for the completely UNRESPONSIVE response to my first email. A state of moral relativism and oblivion must be a job requirement for management hires there at the home office.
PS: I rather suspect this email will earn me a visit from the P.C. Gestapo.
PPS: Now ask me if I care!
(BTW, A friend suggested I send a copy of this exchange to JOE GIBBS RACING. They profess to be ardent Christians but get major sponsorship bucks from HD. You can contact Gibbs at webmaster@joegibbsracing.com. Might even suggest they seek those bucks from Chic Filet or another Christian outfit.)
