“Explain the birth announcement in the two newspapers back in 1961.”
This is the only thing that hangs me up as well.
As I understand it, birth announcement information comes from the Dept of Health, not the family. If Bambi’s family registered the birth, the announcement would’ve been automatic.
When my son was born in Germany, I was very concerned about his citizenship. It was explained to me that, had he been born just a few years earlier, he’d have been a dual citizen (even with two American citizens as his parents) and NOT a natural-born citizen. (The problem was that he was born in a German hospital. Army Brats born in military hospitals are still, technically, on US soil, as McCain was.) When he reached adulthood, he would become naturalized.
I was told that I didn’t have to deal with any of that as the law had been changed. Honestly, I don’t know if my son is a natural-born citizen or not. He has three birth certificates, one of which is “US Citizen Born Abroad”.
My point is; Ms. Dunham would’ve looked into all of this, as would any mother. She may have even taken the paperwork with her to Africa. Fill it out, mail it in and don’t worry about it. The health department would’ve sent the information to the paper automatically.
I’d love to know how long it took a letter to get from Kenya to Hawaii in 1961.
I just don’t know. The fact that he’s spent a million dollars to keep from answering these questions makes me want to keep digging more than anything.
The Newspaper announcements are really irrelevant. This article is not stating that his birth wasn’t registered in Hawaii. It is stating that it was likely done under fraudulent circumstances. His family got him a short form certification of live Birth, the articles do not prove any more than that COLB that he was born in Hawaii, only that he got registered there.
