LOL but Giant Jersey not necessary. Just send him a Santa outfit.

Philly the only city that boo-ed and threw bottles at good old St. Nick. On national TV no less!

“Merry F-in Christmas, now get out of here you bum.”

Get your facts straight. No one threw bottles at Santa Claus and the game wasn’t on national TV the incident happened in the late 60’s at Frankln Field. It wasn’t even noticed until Howard Cosell mentioned it as a throwaway line on a highlight show the next day. It was the last home game of a lousy year and all the fans were very angry at an inept management. In fact the “Santa” was a skinny guy they pulled out of the crowd at the last minute when the original halftime plans went array. “Santa” was also a 22 year old guy who had been drinking all day and who was playfully encouraging the snowballs and tossing some back at the crowd. In fact he, and the people there thought it was funny when it happened. There was no ill intent.

Look I’m not saying we Philly fans always do the right thing, but please let’s stop bringing up this overblown incident thatgets brought up everytime something happens at a Philly sports game
