Yep. My guess is we all experience various “disses” in life. If you’re white, you just chalk it up to ignorance/rudeness/etc. For some minorities (disappointingly, Colin Powell is apparently one of them), there is always a more sinister explanation.
Colin apparently intends to sully whatever credibility remains of his supposed greatness. Great men do not whine and moan about perceived slights.

Exactly. I had to read a book for one of my education classes. There were several anecdotes about Black teachers, student teachers, and so on who were treated rudely, etc. because, of course, they were BLACK. And several of my fellow students all said the same thing. Maybe the people were just rude, mean, or didn’t like them and it had nothing to do with race. Over the years I have had occasion to have this happen to me and I just chalk it up to what you said: ignorance, rudeness, laziness, or whatever.
Life goes on and these people with huge chips on their shoulder are going to have a difficult life.
How did he know this? Had the guest gone up to all the white guys in the airport asking them if they were Powell and not bothered to ask him because he was black?
