I doubt anybody was thinking about little Barry becoming president. However, grandma was a vp of a large bank and she knew the benefits of having documents and citizenship. She was the one, probably, who engineered the paperwork. Because she was at a bank she had knowledge of ‘safe’ addresses that were on the other side of town. I’m wondering if the people at that address obtained a mortgage around that time.
What an excellent point! That would be really easy to find out with a simple title search of the address. Every mortgage would be recorded as a first deed of trust (or whatever HI calls them) at the court house. Any HI FReepers near that court house?
