It's symbolic, but Democrats have scored a victory [of sorts] over nine House Republicans who signed on to the so-called "Birther" bill -- getting them on the record in support of a resolution that explicitly states that President Obama was born in Hawaii.
None of the nine --
Reps. Marsha Blackburn [R-Tenn.], Dan Burton [R-Ind.], John Campbell [R-Calif.] John Carter [R-Tex.], John Culberson [R-Tex.], Robert Goodlatte [R-Va.], Kenny Marchant [R-Tex.], Randy Neugebauer [R-Tex.] and Rep. Ted Poe [R-Tex.] --
objected to the unanimous approval of a resolution honoring the 50th anniversary of Hawaii's Statehood last night.
The key clause, cleverly inserted by Rep. Neil Abercrombie (D-Hawaii):
"Whereas the 44th President of the United States, Barack Obama, was born in Hawaii;"
Few of the nine have actually questioned the president's Hawaiian birth certificate, just demanded more rigorous documentation of future candidates birth certs. So they probably don't mind the vote.
Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) briefly stalled the vote for a quorum call -- which prompted a string of erroneous blog posts accusing her of standing with the Birthers.
~~PING!
Proves absolutely nothing!
Our govt has been Alinsky-ised. The corruption is incredible.

It can’t happen here.
GOP, it only takes one to push the committee for a subpoena the records to “lay this issue to rest once and for all”. Force the dems to vote down the subpoena and then say that there must be something to hide due to the obstruction of justice by the Dems.
political judo, use your opponents strength against them
MAYS: "It's just that easy."
This ONLY adds FUEL TO THE FIRE. This man MUST be brought down.
RIP Billy Mays...a great example of achievement...
Say what?
(see tagline)
Well as long as the RATS are willing to embrace as their own every clause in every bill they have ever voted for. For example the clause in the stimulus bill that allowed AIG to pay out their contractual bonuses. Do do overs anymore. You stand for everything you vote for no matter how obscure.
That picture says so much.
replace Fitch with Ayers
Yes, it proves that not one single member of the House GOP believes that Obama was not born in Hawaii.

Correctamundo!
Billy Mays - Its just that easy.
Yeah, and look what just happened to him. He is dead!
I just called my Congressman Kingston (GA) and asked why he voted for this. I was told that he did not know they had slipped the Obama being born in HI into the bill. They told me this is a Non-binding resolution. His staffer said my Congressman has not read the bill. I then asked if he always votes on bills then he had not read! I informed the staffer that they have lost my support and I will never send him another penny. I also told the staffer that I will not vote for him again.
The government is now legislating “truth”.
We have just crossed the event horizon folks.
