As expected, Democrat El Tinklenberg is going to take another shot at Republican U.S. Rep. Michele Bachmann next year.
The former Blaine mayor and state transportation commissioner visited the state Capitol pressroom Monday to tell reporters he's definitely running in the 6th District congressional race.
Tinklenberg challenged Bachmann last year and narrowly lost, 46 percent to 43 percent, with an Independence Party candidate getting 10 percent of the vote.

The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee has targeted the district as one of the top eight Republican-held seats that it hopes to pick up in 2010. We scoff at our peril. The Gay lobby hates Michele and have a well-organized long-standing campaign against her. She is loved by the conservatives in this district but loathed by the liberals. Being outspoken, she receives a great deal of scorn from the liberal intelligentsia.
