Not quite on your analysis. It’s not that his mother had not been in the U.S. long enough. It’s that under the laws in 1961 if both parents were not American citizens and the one that was an American citizen was under 18, the child would have to be born in the U.S. if the child was to be considered a natural born U.S. citizen. Obama’s mother (Anne Dunham) was 16 or 17 I believe so Obama would have to be born in the U.S. in order to be a natural born American citizen.

No.

“a person born outside the geographical limits of the United States and its outlying possessions of parents one of whom is an alien, and the other a citizen of the United States, who prior to the birth of such person, was physically present in the United States or its outlying possessions for a period or periods totaling not less than ten years, at least five of which were after attaining the age of fourteen years.”

She wasn’t in the United States long enough after age 14 to qualify her son.

No. At the time the Constitution was written, citizenship was conferred by the father. Obama would be a citizen the same as an anchor baby but not a "natural born citizen" as his father was Kenyan.

Ann Dunham was 18 years old when little Bambi was born. Her birthdate is 11/29/1942...Bambi = 8/4/1961

I am very curious about the digital conversion of the birth records in HI. All of the information included on long form BCs was not included on COLBs. Would this have required that countless man hours to manually enter the info? If so it seems like a whole lot of people would have been involved, some of whom may have picked up bits and pieces about what in the world they were going to do with all of those boxes of BCs.
