At the premiere in 1939, my mother (one of those rare Atlanta natives) was there, sitting on her father's shoulders so that she could see Clark Gable and Vivien Leigh going into the theater. It was an unbelievably big deal for Atlanta, needless to say.

My Granny was there too.

I bet she knew my mom. What school did she go to? Mom went to Morningside Elementary and then to North Avenue Presbyterian.
