I don’t know about this particular theory, but I would like to see more speculation on what he could be hiding other than his place of birth.
I have not been following this closely, so I could well have my facts wrong and feel free to correct me.
There were birth announcements in the two local newspapers saying he was born, so I think he likely was born in Hawaii. But the address given in the papers is wrong, the neighbors say there was no such family next door at the time. I don’t know what to make of that but it’s really odd.
It’s especially odd that he doesn’t release his birth certificate.. So he’s hiding something, maybe not where he was born. What else could it be?
Birth announcements are totally irrelevant. I could call a paper in Missouri and give them a birth announcement that was totally fake, pay the fee and they would print it. It is not as if that is some sort of legal document. I am sure that if there was any sort of scandal in Grandma’s eyes she would want to give as much legitimacy as she could at the time. Certainly Birth announcements were common then. I did not do an announcement in any papers when either of my children were born. It is not an automatic or mandatory thing. Its the choice of the person essentially buying the space to print it.
