Republican: Palin is another Huckabee [Romney sycophants viciously attack Palin...again] [hurl]

WASHINGTON (CNN) – It looks like Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin may have one less fan.

On the same day that Palin is set to transfer power to her lieutenant governor, Republican strategist Alex Castellanos said her prospects for national office looked grim.

“’I’ve been a supporter of Sarah Palin — at times,” Castellanos said Sunday on CNN’s State of the Union. “She gave the McCain campaign its best two weeks. But, you know, if we’re going to be critical of Democrats when they shirk their responsibilities, we have do the same within our own house. She abandoned her state in the middle of a term.”

On the national political stage, Castellanos, who worked as a political consultant for Mitt Romney's 2008 presidential bid, likened Palin to former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee.

Like it or not, Palin has chosen to quit politics.

Depending on her motives, I can respect her decision. But quitting half way through her first term as governor pretty much ends much chance of a National office.

And no, I don't like that. I would have voted for her.

Romney & Co. needs to be put in a burlap bag and tenderized with a 2X4....not by me you understand...and not literally....figuratively....(yeah figuratively...thats the ticket)

Vaquey, you sound like my kinda cowboy! Even if you are in New York.

......But I bet not NYC. I expect NY is a lot like California -- only a tiny fraction of it is metropolitan and liberal; most of it is rural-agricultural and conservative, but it's that tiny fraction that dominates its national image.

Thank you for this excellent post. IMHO, if the folks at FR who like Romney would be as candid and honest as you, we wouldn’t have near the level of “bashing” that goes on. In the same spirit of candor, I think the “bashing” goes on because conservatives ‘fear’ the ignorance of voters who can easily be swayed by the outer “prettiness” of Mitt which is why we would like to derail his campaign early ...

Oh, EXCELLENTLY well-said. BRAVO!

I think McCain is responsible for Palin’s woes. If he had been a real MAN he would have defended her STRONGLY and never quit defending her to this very day. But oh no he had to wimp out and throw her to the wolves. McCain deserved to lose. And he should never have let his operatives go after her. The whole thing made me sick. I voted for Palin, not McCain.

Now this thread is about blaming McCain’s loss on Romney? Go figure.

Well I wuz born in the city and moved out at age 15, some 45 years ago.. and its been the suburbs since then.......I do shoot ‘cowboy action shooting’ as a member of the Single Action Shooting Society. I would move to a ‘red’ state in a ‘New York Minute’ if it wasn't for the wife having to be near her elderly parents....who ain't about to move.

Most of upstate NY is pretty agrarian(where I spend quality time hunting..), but the cities rule the vote here what with the population and all.

It’s just propoganda by Palin supporters who are hell bent on making sure Palin gets the nomination by accusing Romney of doing what they are engaging in. It is pretty sickening since it is so blatent.
