2. This was the subject of at least one thread on FR many months ago and I figure that's when the author of the article "learned" this. I'm not going to take the time to look up the thread now, but I guarantee you it was a topic of discussion here. There were people who claimed that various graphical manipulations on Obama's COLB revealed a Maya COLB as the source. Obviously the evidence for this was incredibly lame or more would have come of it.
As far as I can tell, the forgery-proving "experts" never came up with anything definitive. Personally I do not believe that Hawaiian authorities would remain silent if the Obama COLB was a forgery.
There is a very great deal of sloppy thinking surrounding the birth certificate issue. For example, I am particularly distressed by the appearance yesterday on these threads of an extension of the audio of Obama's grandmother in Kenya which heretofore had been used as evidence that he was not born in Hawaii. The new audio makes it clear that that statement which was presented in the original version was completely recanted in the extended version.
The quality of the evidence that he was born in Hawaii continues to be of superior quality to the evidence that he was born in Kenya. The only thing that maintains this "inquiry" is the inexplicable refusal of Obama to produce an ordinary document.
I have no doubt the months from now we will again be assured that Obama sister, born in Indonesia, nevertheless received a Certification of Live Birth falsely showing her to have been in Hawaii.
There are too many birthers with too much emotional investment in this matter who are not experienced in marshaling and sifting facts and who do their cause great disservice by simply assuming what they want to hear.
