The more the MSM tries to obscure this, and the longer Obama tries to dodge the issue the more believable it’s becomming to some of the people I know.

Obama needs to release the long form because he will not be able to ignore it during his reelection campaign. It will be a big issue. I thought he did not release anything, but then found out that he released his short form. My long form was lost in a flood in our basement many years back. When I joined the military, I requested my birth certficate from New York State and they sent the short form. The military accepted it. I guess with President, the short form is not good enough so somehow he is going to have to find his long form (could be difficult) or request for another form to be rewritten or retyped depending on how they wrote them out in the 60's. Bottom line, he has about three years to get this issue behind him because it will be huge in 2011 I believe.

The comments to these small editorial reports are always interesting, but rarely more than the same tired responses and insults. What the responses universally show is a lack of knowledge regarding what makes one a citizen or a natural born citizen, what has or has not been released by obama, what has been certified by the state of Hawaii and several other misperceptions and misinformation.

It doesn't matter where the comments are posted, here on FR or in papers and web journals across the country and overseas, the responses and misunderstandings and, of course, the insults are the same.

What a golden opportunity for a real, honest to goodness reporter to actually investigate and report to address this need.
